The White Lion Hotel is a traditional coaching inn, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. On a riverside location in central Hebden Bridge and dating back to 1657, the inn is well known for excellent food, wines and a wide choice of real cask ales. With 10 spacious en suite bedrooms and famous for its cooked-to-order breakfasts, it is an ideal base for visitors to the Calder Valley and Brontė country.
Open to residents and non-residents, The White Lion serves fresh home cooked food informally in the bar areas, from 12 noon to 9pm every day. Our chef uses fresh, locally-sourced, produce for all our dishes, changing the specials board according to market availability.
Surrounded by history and stunning countryside, the area is very popular with walkers, cyclists, country lovers and those in search of a contrast to a hectic life style. With easy access to the rail and motorway networks, the hotel is centrally based for pleasure or business and you are assured of a warm welcome.
The White Lion Hotel is over 350 years old, and said to be the oldest building in Hebden Bridge.
